Civic Voices is a day-and-a-half advocacy and civic leadership experience for Triad nonprofit professionals, board members, volunteers, and community leaders who want to better understand how public decisions are made and strengthen their ability to shape those decisions.
The program is presented through a partnership between One Sector, One Voice Triad and the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership.
Civic Voices combines expert instruction with practical exercises, candid conversations, and direct engagement with elected officials and experienced advocates.
Whether your work focuses on housing, food security, education, health, the environment, the arts, or another community priority, creating lasting change requires more than passion for an issue. It requires an understanding of government, public budgets, nonprofit advocacy rules, effective communication, and the relationships that influence public decisions.
