Description
AbolitionNC is seeking a motivated individual to join our committed team. Founded in 2008, AbolitionNC is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The organization combats human trafficking across the state through awareness and prevention education, offering products and services that equip schools and communities to recognize, respond to, and prevent exploitation.
The new team member will be actively involved in community education and development (fundraising and donor engagement) efforts. In this role, the individual will need to understand and effectively articulate the organization’s mission, vision, programs, and initiatives. The individual will work closely with the Executive Director and the Director of Operations. This role supports the organization’s outreach and growth through meaningful community partnerships and donor engagement.
Ideal candidates will have strong community connections and the ability to inspire support through personal relationships and strategic outreach, focusing on cultivating partners, donors, and sponsors rather than organizing large-scale fundraising events. This position is currently part-time, with the potential for expanded hours in the future.
The position provides considerable flexibility in scheduling and allows for remote work as a standard practice. Compensation is based on experience and skill set and includes eligibility for a retirement plan after the required waiting period.
