
GO FAR (Go Out For a Run)
Description
The Programs & Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting the overall operations of GO FAR, including race coordination, organizational logistics, and administrative duties. This position is instrumental in executing GO FAR’s signature Spring and Fall races, as well as milestone events and supporting GO FAR Programs. The Associate will provide essential support to the Executive Director, staff, and Board, ensuring both internal systems and external events run smoothly and effectively.
Duties
Administrative & Office Operations
- Work with the Executive Director to organize and maintain office systems, including but not limited to developing and managing a categorized filing system (e.g., Race, Events, Finance, Marketing, Vendors).
- Regularly check the PO Box a minimum of once a week to process deposits; maintain copies and organized records of all checks, invoices, receipts, and bank statements.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail; coordinate outgoing and bulk mailings.
- Manage inventory of office supplies and sales merchandise through the CRM.
- Support staff with order processing, including receiving payments and preparing
acknowledgments for fulfilled orders. - Assist the Board Chair with preparing materials for board meetings, including printing and organizing reports.
- Provide general support to the Executive Director and staff across various organizational projects.
Event & Program Support
- Plan and maintain site-specific operations plans, timelines, and budgets for both Spring and Fall races in the CRM.
- Lead volunteer recruitment, coordination, and management for each race and major event.
- Prepare Board members and volunteers for their event-day roles and responsibilities.
- Represent GO FAR at third-party engagements including interviews, public events, and community presentations, in coordination with the Executive Director.
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for GO FAR events, responsible for ensuring safe, well-executed, and enjoyable experiences for all participants.
- Conduct post-event reporting and feedback collection for internal and external
stakeholders (Board, race committee, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, etc.). - Manage and track race inventory and race day merchandise in the CRM.
- Enter and maintain accurate race data, contact information, and registration totals in Neon One.

Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in event planning, logistics, or nonprofit operations preferred.
- Proficient in Google; experience with Neon One or other CRM is a plus.
- Must be available for on-site presence during race weekends and occasional community events.
- Ability to pull a trailer is a plus
