Southwest Renewal Foundation is a dynamic community development organization that works closely with partners to improve our community. The Executive Assistant is a new position responsible for assisting the Executive Director in operations and the strategic management of Southwest Renewal Foundation. This position ensures the smooth and sustainable functioning of the organization, aligning daily operations with the mission and strategic vision by extending the reach of the Executive Director.
The Executive Assistant will be a visible and integral part of Southwest Renewal Foundation. We are seeking a committed, community-oriented individual who embraces collaboration and partnership. This grant-funded 3-year contract position ($30,000 per annum) will focus on recordkeeping, marketing, building digital infrastructure, organizational development and succession planning.
Duties
● Help to create a 3-year succession plan
● Help to create a Fund Development Plan
● Help to meet strategic objectives by managing positive collaborations with partners
● Help implement the completion of an urban greenway providing safe walkable access to transit, jobs, schools and parks
● Record and file the minutes of monthly and quarterly meetings (such as those with Grant partners, community engagement, SWRF Executive Committee and Board)
● Manage invoices, contracts, insurance, and other documentation, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and transparency
● Strengthen online infrastructure to increase the presence of SWRF projects on social media for marketing, storytelling, and community input
Qualifications
Required skills:
● Highly organized
● Creative thinker
● Familiar with Excel and Spreadsheets
● Excellent written and communication skills
● Experience or training in nonprofit/governmental management
● Highly motivated self-starter who thrives on working independently
Experience preferred in one or more: Environmental Care, Town Planning (Walkability and Community Revitalization), Collaborations with City Staff and Elected Officials; Public Art; Placemaking; Inner-City Revitalization; Community Outreach; Digital Marketing. High Point residency is preferable.
