Second Breath is a nonprofit community center and spiritual center that has been rooted in Greensboro for over 30 years (formerly called the Servant Leadership School). We offer programs and gatherings that invite people to uncover the Sacred and practice radical care for themselves, one another, and the world. Position Overview:

We are looking forward to onboarding a Community Care & Administrative Coordinator to support the smooth operations of the center and nurture our community. This role combines administrative support, calendar and event coordination, volunteer management, participant engagement, and love for people. The ideal candidate is highly organized, incredibly reliable, kind, and comfortable welcoming people where they are.

Schedule: This is an in-person position from M–Th, 8:45am–1:30pm, 1 evening weekly, & occasional set-up and welcome support on weekend events. This is a temporary position through December 2025

Compensation: $21-25/hour based on experience

Duties

Role Responsibilities:

  • Thoughtful Communication and Care: Greet and welcome visitors, check and post mail, answer and direct phone calls, manage general email inquiries, and respond to program offering questions.
  • Detail-Oriented Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and program staff including but not limited to preparing correspondence, logging data, reviewing copy, scheduling meetings for the Executive Director, and preparing for large board or community gatherings.
  • Welcoming Facilities Management: Manage office inventory, order supplies, coordinate with vendors on any property maintenance and repairs, support library check outs, and cultivate a welcoming environment for all.
  • Calendar Management of the Center: Own the management of the center’s calendar including coordination with the staff team, board team, and volunteers.
  • Warm Reception for Programs: Welcome with deep care community members to weekly practices and gatherings both in-person and virtual such as M-Th morning practices, midweek practice, Thursday evening practice, and noting key metrics.
  • Supportive for Program Coordination: Support facilitators and staff team in preparing for in person and virtual workshops and courses including but not limited to preparing spaces, setting up and collecting surveys, reporting program data, and returning the space to original order.
  • Team Participation: contribute as a collaborative member of the staff team and enjoyment of teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative, organizational and time-management skills
  • Kindness in engaging with people and gifts in communicating with people clearly
  • Proficiency with technology including Zoom, Google Suite, and Salesforce (or similar database)
  • Experience coordinating with volunteers is a plus
  • Deeply reliable, full of integrity, and excited to support the mission of holding space to uncover the sacred and practice radical care for ourselves, each other, and the world.
  • Ability to post on social media, and cut video a plus but not required.
