Description

Quick Position Description:

Piedmont Land Conservancy is seeking a campaign associate to support a $8.5M capital campaign and to assist with PLC’s annual operating fund. The position is full-time through the end of the campaign in December 2027 and will be an integral part of the PLC fundraising team. The internal development office is staffed by a full-time director of development and a part-time development associate/database manager.

Duties

Key Job Functions:

1. Support all activities related to the capital campaign and annual operating fundraising including administrative support for the Campaign Committee under the direction of the Development Director.

2. Keep all prospect information up to date related to annual giving and capital campaign pledges under the direction of the development associate and director.

3. Coordinate all acknowledgements for annual giving and campaign giving with the development associate and director.

4. Support the Director of Development in the coordination of annual appeals.

5. Provide administrative support for all campaign materials and correspondence: files, lists, meeting notifications, agendas, minutes, and other follow-up materials promised at the meetings; prospect and donor research, records, acknowledgements and reports.

6. Conduct prospect research to compile profile information on individual, corporate, foundation and other prospects when needed.

7. Maintain and update a campaign calendar of scheduled activities and send weekly reports to key individuals and consultants.

8. Record and transcribe notes of all significant campaign-related communications, and those with volunteer leaders, board members, and other stakeholders. Ensure that all information is captured in the Raiser’s Edge Database.

9. Prepare and produce all campaign materials for meetings, proposals, reports, cultivation groups, etc.

10. Perform the above and any other duties necessary for effective and efficient annual and capital campaign planning, management and implementation.

Qualifications

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree plus minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Excel
  • Ability to learn basic data entry and procedures
  • Ability to employ sound judgment and maintain gift and record confidentiality
  • A high level of integrity, honesty, and strong work ethic; sensitivity to timely follow up and diplomatic responsiveness to campaign committee members
  • Comfortable working on multiple tasks with interruptions in an energetic environment
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through
  • Ability to work well under pressure with periodic heavy workloads
  • Attention to detail and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks
  • Ability to analyze problems, utilize internal or external resources, offer solutions to problems and implement solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Relational CRM database experience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT
