Description
The CAC Director is responsible for overall administration and management of Emmy's House Children's Advocacy Center (CAC), including all programs, strategic leadership, and general operations. The Director ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services to child abuse victims and their families, facilitates effective multidisciplinary team collaboration, oversees staff and program management, and assists in identifying needs, securing funding, and compiling applications/reports to sustain and grow the CAC. This is a full-time position, hired by and directly accountable to the Executive Director of the Randolph
County Family Crisis Center or their designee.
Duties
Leadership & Management
- Provide dynamic leadership to the organization, fostering a culture of compassion, integrity, accountability, and collaboration.
- Oversee all operations and ensure adherence to professional standards, accreditation requirements (e.g., NCA, CACNC), funding requirements, and legal guidelines.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and contractors; promote professional development and track training to ensure compliance with national accreditation standards.
- Develops and administers operational policies.
- Oversees all programs, services and activities to ensure that program objectives are met.
- Participates in in designing/executing a fundraising plan that meets the needs of the program.
- Develops reports to the Chief Program Office, Executive Director, the Board of Directors, and/or external stakeholders on the work of the agency including numbers served and outcomes.
- Negotiates and maintains interagency agreements to ensure that they are current and functional.
- Identifies community and agency training needs and developing/coordinating workshops to meet those needs.
- Leads re-accreditation process and maintains good standing with national/local organizations that have similar missions.
Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Coordination
- Facilitate and support the MDT, including law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical and mental health professionals, ensuring coordinated, child-centered responses to abuse cases.
- Organize and lead regular case review meetings and ensure effective communication among team members.
- Coordinate and monitor required trainings for MDT members in accordance with CAC standards.
Program Development & Oversight
- Maintain and strengthen services including forensic interviews, advocacy, therapy referrals, case tracking, and community education.
- Serve as a back-up forensic interviewer, advocate, and/or other roles as needed to ensure a streamlined continuum of services that complies with standards and best practices.
- Monitor program outcomes and implement improvements based on evaluation and feedback.
- Ensure culturally responsive, inclusive services to all clients.
Fundraising & Financial Management
- Assist in developing/managing annual program budget.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities including grants, donations, and fundraising events.
- Provide required reporting
Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Represent Emmy’s House CAC in the community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local officials, schools, donors, and media.
- Promote awareness about child abuse prevention and the services of the CAC.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, nonprofit management, or a related field (master’s preferred) or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with non-profit programs including developing grant applications, reporting, providing staff oversight, and/or program compliance.
- Knowledge of child abuse dynamics, trauma-informed care, and MDT processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in partnering with stakeholders to achieve desired results.
- A solution-focused attitude and ability to motivate team members through change.
- Ability to work in stressful conditions, maintaining professionalism at all times
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Children’s Advocacy Centers or familiarity with NCA accreditation standards.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with local and state child welfare systems.
- Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and nonprofit financial management.
