The new team leader will be actively involved in fundraising and development efforts. In this role, the individual will need to understand and articulate the organization’s mission, vision, services, and projected needs. The team leader will work closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan as well as work closely with volunteers on our fundraising committee.

Currently, this position is part-time; however, full-time hours may be available in the future. Significantly flexible work hours and the ability to work primarily from home (even after Covid) are perks of this position. Compensation is based on experience, education, and skill set.



  • Procure corporate sponsorships and donations
  • Aid in securing auction items for the annual fundraiser
  • Oversee annual Tea & Top Hats fundraiser planning
  • Strengthen donor relations
  • Grant writing (basic)
  • Talk briefly at speaking engagements (post Covid)
  • Track donations and correspondence
  • Oversee bulk mailings and donor follow-up
  • Manage email and social media
  • Organize and lead a team of volunteers

Contribute to the team by completing tasks as needed



  • High school diploma (college preferred)
  • Microsoft office skills & social media aptitude
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Adept at working independently
  • Skilled at working collaboratively with volunteers
  • Able to organize work schedule & meet deadlines
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: fundraising, development, grant writing, event planning, community engagement, public speaking, and/or sales

  • History of nonprofit or volunteer work
  • Knowledge about human trafficking
  • Marketing or public relations experience
  • Experience with media interviews
  • Proofreading and editing skills
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience with Wix or other website programs
  • Photography, videography, or graphic design skills
  • DonorSnap or QuickBooks skills
  • Experience/interest in leading training
  • Experience/interest in educating youth
  • Background in education/curriculum
