Description

On any given night, over 1,000 people will be living on the streets or shelters in Greensboro. The Partnership to End Homelessness is dedicated to alleviating homelessness in Guilford County. Each month they implement community service projects to benefit the homeless and hungry and attend trainings, as well as serve at their site. Early applicants have the best selection of roles. While we welcome out of state applicants, all member roles are in Greensboro and only those willing and able to travel to Greensboro for a series of interviews should apply. Duties

*This listing is for 3 full-time roles at FaithAction International House as an Immigrant Assistance Center Coordinator. • Provide information and referrals for basic needs case managements (healthcare, food, housing, etc.) • Assist with disseminating food and diaper donations to clients • Attend staff meetings as needed • Provide interpretation services for Spanish speaking clients • Teach ESOL and/or computer class • Assist clients with employment readiness skills by helping with resume creation, job applications, and job searches • Assist at monthly FaithAction ID drives with data entry and with printing and mailing IDs • Recruit and coordinate volunteers • Complete FaithAction staff report each month • Record client case notes in Saleforce database

Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements:
1.Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. national or lawful permanent resident alien in the United States;
2.Be at least 19 years old;
3.Have not already completed 2 full time service years (or their equivalent) in AmeriCorps
4.Have a high school diploma/GED or 4 year college diploma;
5.Have made no false statements on his/her application documents;
6.Be able to perform all activities listed in the essential requirements for each role;
7.Have not received services from a partner agency in the past 12 months or be a current employee of a partner agency;
8.Be a law-abiding citizen with: no sex offense convictions, no violent felony convictions, no non-violent felony convictions within the past 10 years, no pending felony charges, and not currently on parole or probation
9. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
