Description

The Development Manager, under the supervision of the VP of Development, will assist in managing the fundraising systems and operations including some oversight and execution of the agency’s fund development plan . The development manager works in close coordination with the VP of Development to oversee event management and donor relations, and ensure timely communication with our constituents and the community at large.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (LIST AS A % OF TOTAL WORK TIME 40%
Development Manager will assist with community partnerships in both High Point and Greensboro, as well as other surrounding areas BBBSCP serves.

Duties

I. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A. DONOR CULTIVATION AND STEWARDSHIP 1. Follow the Agency Cultivation of Donors Plan to seek new and retain agency donor and volunteer relationships) 2. Help grow the agency’s special events and implement best practices to advance them 3. Assists the grant making process to steward and grow funding from foundations, faith-based organizations and businesses 4. Assists with Stewardship and growth of national corporate partnerships where there is local presence 5. Develop and implement strategies for engaging our volunteers, past Littles and parents in advocacy and philanthropy, as well as \, current and alumni.

B. FUNDRAISING SYSTEMS AND OPERATIONS 1. Manage an annual calendar/plan of all development initiatives 2. Coordinate with VP of Development and Programs, as well as, Director of Quality Assurance to create and sustain public engagement activities that include, but are not limited to, speeches, lunch and learns and fairs 3. Ensure proper timelines and process flow for development initiatives including event and end of campaign analysis 4. Coordinate fundraising and agency messaging/communications with VP of Development, ensuring a thoughtful and strategic outreach plan 6. Assist in overseeing the donor database system ensuring data accuracy and ensuring appropriate staff are actively utilizing the tool for donor relationship management

C. OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED 1. Support other agency campaigns and projects 2. Participate and attend community and agency-appropriate meetings 3. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Years of Related Work Experience: (minimum & preferred related work experience necessary perform this job successfully) Minimum three years of related experience required, five or more years related experience preferred
