Organization Overview: Since 1967, Mental Health Associates of the Triad a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, has provided mental health services to the most vulnerable citizens in High Point. Our goal is to be a financially sustainable organization that is true to our mission of being committed to the promotion of mental health through quality service and continuing our tradition of service, advocacy and outreach.

Job Description: The Chief Revenue Officer will be one of the most public-facing roles at Mental Health Associates of the Triad. Passion for mental health and the mission of our nonprofit are keys to this role’s success, as are communications and public speaking. Strong business development skills, a keen understanding of nonprofit financing, and the ability to work with our business community is a must. The CRO should excel at both tactical and strategic work. The job includes digging into the nuances of a business membership program or a grant proposal, coming up with creative solutions to daily problems, and creating something entirely new for the industry. Demonstrate innovative strategies and new ways to cultivate donors and help us to increase our local presence. This role requires a strategic thinker and a proven track record in revenue generation in both business to consumer and business to business engagements. Experience in fundraising and donor development is a must

We are seeking a dynamic Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to help us establish new partnerships, exponentially increase donor relations, fundraising, deliver on impact, increase awareness, and build trust in the community.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
• Identify and cultivate new revenue streams, including earned income opportunities and innovative funding models working closely with the Chief Executive Officer.
• Create and execute annual and long-term fundraising goals, including individual donors, mid-level donors, major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, foundations and more.

2. Business Development and Earned Revenue:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.

• Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and potential partnerships to drive the expansion of earned revenue.
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to evaluate the competitive landscape and identify key differentiators.
• Lead the business development initiative by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including new service lines, educational workshops, employee assistance and workforce development programs to support our business community.
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to establish strategic alliances, secure, retain, and grow new business agreements.
• Drive the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to decrease reliance on government funding.

3. Donor Relations and Stewardship:
• Oversee donor engagement and stewardship strategies, ensuring strong relationships with foundations and stakeholders.
• Work closely with the CEO, SVP of Development and Board of Directors to engage high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Oversees our data management and CRM efforts; providing reports and updates to the CEO, Board and staff as needed.

4. Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing revenue team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, optimization, and collaboration.
• Set performance metrics and regularly evaluate team and individual performance.

5. Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Collaborate with the CEO and Clinical Leadership to set revenue targets and forecast financial outcomes.
• Monitor and analyze revenue performance, providing regular updates to the CEO and Board of Directors.

6. Marketing and Communications Alignment:
• Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure fundraising and revenue generation efforts are effectively communicated and aligned with the organization’s brand and messaging.
• Assist in managing communication channels, including content gathering and layout design.

• Contribute to the development and execution of email marketing campaigns.
• Support social media management and digital content creation.
• Coordinate with external vendors and stakeholders for digital projects.
• Helps develop a communications strategy and strategic marketing plan.

7. Board and Executive Collaboration:
• Serve as a key liaison to the Board’s fundraising and development committees.
• Represent MHA on panels interviews and industry events.
• Present revenue reports and updates to the Board of Directors and senior leadership team.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, marketing, or business development with assigned yearly revenue targets. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience managing and mentoring teams, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively about revenue opportunities. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to partner with foundations, individuals and companies. Position requires someone who is well organized and process-driven

Compensation and Benefits: Salary Range: $80,000- $90,000 with opportunities for performance-based bonuses based on fundraising achievements and meeting established goals.
