Workshop: A Burst of Strategic Planning!
April 27, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm | Free
In our busy world, strategic planning can sometimes be placed on the back burner because it is tedious. It can also be challenging to find time to create a plan for “what’s next.”
Join us for a focused, mini strategic planning session that will help you check in with what is important to your organization and possibly discover new opportunities to consider. Participants will be guided through a fast-paced process that produces maximum results in a short window of time.
Participants will work together as a team if they are from the same organization, or individually if they are the only representative from their organization. Everyone will leave with information that is relevant to his/her organization, and a sense of whether or not there is adequate focus on the most important areas.
Ellen Bryant Lloyd has facilitated groups in the Greensboro area for the past fifteen years. She was trained in the W. Edwards Deming’s Continuous Improvement Process, and applies an adaptation of the model in her work with nonprofit organizations and schools to help them efficiently determine their goals and create plans of action. Ellen is also an author and independent publisher with a background in sales and marketing. She is active in the community and has served on the board of directors for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Alumni Association, the Greensboro Montessori School, the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, the Greensboro Symphony Guild and Parents as Teachers, as well the Steering Committee for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators: Carolinas. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Economics and a minor in Communications Studies.
