Legal Obligations of Nonprofit Boards

Melanie Tuttle of Tuttle Law, PLLC, Greensboro, will join us to lead an informative discussion about the legal obligations of nonprofit boards of directors. Ms. Tuttle will address how nonprofit directors may effectively govern their organizations while protecting themselves from liability.

Ms. Tuttle practices in the areas of business and employment law, and counsels both for-profit and nonprofit organizations regarding corporate governance. She has extensive experience advising large and small businesses, both public and private, in a wide variety of transactional, commercial and governance matters. She also has considerable experience advising employers on the full gamut of labor and employment issues as well as executives in employment agreement negotiations and executive compensation matters. Ms. Tuttle received her law degree from the University of Cincinnati and her undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
