Board Chair Roundtable: Program Evaluation and Outcomes
April 4 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm | Free - $10.00
The Accountable Board in the 21st Century
Do you understand the purpose of all the programs of your nonprofit? Can you brag objectively about program successes and cost benefits? The biggest challenge for nonprofits in the past 10-15 years has been the increasing demands from funders to measure program impact. It used to be enough to “do good”. Now nonprofits have to “do good, well”. Boards have the responsibility to require the Executive to develop ways to measure outcomes; to approve the outcome measures developed; set performance targets; and review outcome reports regularly. The Board may need to urge changes to programs if outcomes indicate little or no client or community impact.
Must be a Board Chair or Board-Chair Elect to attend.
Facilitated by Julia Nile and Kem Ellis.
