Board Chair Roundtable: Enhance The Organization’s Public Standing

The 2018 series of Board Chairs Roundtable will explore the five things your executive director wants you to know.   These “five things” are not pulled from any textbook or journal article but from Guilford County executive directors themselves.  Last year, a short survey was conducted with participants at the Consortium’s executive directors Roundtable asking them to consider the strengths of their current board and then select which five of the ten key areas of board responsibility would they prioritize for board development within their organization. The five topics selected form the basis for our 2018 discussion series.

June Roundtable Topic: Enhance the Organization’s Public Standing 

Promoting your organization depends on knowledge of the work you do and the results you get.  Have you paid sufficient attention to the organization’s activities and operations to speak convincingly about the importance of your mission?  Participants will be invited to talk about strategies that have worked…….or not.  How do you answer your friend’s question, “so what are you up to these days?”

MUST BE BOARD CHAIR OR BOARD CHAIR ELECT OF CONSORTIUM MEMBER ORGANIZATION TO ATTEND.
