2011 Recipient: Pamela Palmer, Assistant Professor of Nonprofit Leadership and Management, High Point University
Pamela is a phenomenal Consortium volunteer. In 2011, she contributed almost 200 volunteer hours to the Consortium – that’s almost 5 work-weeks! She is also a devoted wife and mother as well as a driven professional personality. Her obvious passion is building the capacity of nonprofits in Guilford County and we are grateful that she has chosen the Consortium as an avenue through which she pursues this passion. In addition to serving as the ED of a Consortium member nonprofit organization that she helped her students to establish, managing her own consulting practice, being a highly respected professor in the Nonprofit Management Program at HPU, writing her dissertation this summer for her doctorate in Leadership at A&T, Pamela Palmer has presented various ad hoc workshops for the Consortium; she has served as a member of our Board Development Design Committee and our Curriculum Sub-Committee and she has volunteered as faculty for the Academy. Pamela is also the author of the curriculum for the Consortium’s two annual Nonprofit Management Institutes as well as the primary instructor for both.
