Heartstrings Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support
Mission
Heartstrings provides those who have lost a baby from conception to one year of age with validation, encouragement and support as well as grief-related education. This is done through a variety of programs designed to help them grieve, mourn and begin to reconcile themselves to the death of their baby as well as cope with the emotions of a subsequent pregnancy.
Vision
• We will provide programs that address the unique and personal grieving needs of each individual.
• We will offer education about grief and mourning.
• We will offer a safe and respectful environment in which grief can be expressed if individuals choose to do so.
• We will be a resource for medical personnel and bereavement caregivers in the areas of perinatal loss.
• We will provide subsequent pregnancy support designed to encourage families as they cope with the mixture of emotions and fears and residual grief felt during a subsequent pregnancy.
