Guilford Community AIDS Partnership [GCAP]
The Guilford Community AIDS Partnership [GCAP] was established in 1991 as a joint effort with the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and the National AIDS Fund to support HIV prevention efforts in Guilford County. Since its inception, GCAP has awarded over 1.5 million dollars to local agencies for HIV/AIDS prevention and care services.
GCAP is:
GCAP is a unique collaborative created as a resource for Guilford County programs that improve the lives of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
GCAP Mission:
Confronting HIV/AIDS by building bridges within our community and providing resources for services, education, and advocacy.
GCAP Vision:
Building a community that confronts HIV/AIDS with exceptional skill, teamwork, and compassion.
GCAP Purpose:
GCAP exists to:
- Facilitate collaboration among organizations and individuals battling the
HIV/AIDS epidemic in Guilford County.
- Support education to the general public about HIV/AIDS.
- Advocate for effective laws and policies.
- Promote coordinated strategies for HIV/AIDS prevention and care services.
- Provide technical assistance, training, and funding to community
organizations.
